Errors While attempting to Back SQL Server Database

MS 2003 Server running Brightstore 11.1 with a Iomega REV drive attempting to back a SQL 2000 serve over a LAN.
The SQL Agent has been installed on the SQL server and backup job configured and security username and password entered in to backup job. On running backup get Arcserver errors as follows :
E8563 Failed to send data to database Agent EC=-1
E8543 Failed to send data to SQL server database Agent EC=-1
E8562 Failed to recieve data from database agent EC=9

I have checked the SQL Agent and it has been set to use Windows Authentication.

Appreciate any information on this. The destination server is also 2003 Server and am using Administrator as the username so rights not an issue.
When creating the backup job, I can drilldown the table abd see them so the logon seems to work.

From within the ARCserve GUI can you browse through the SQL server agent and see all the drives etc?

Yes as I said I can see all the SQL tables I wanna back up and sizes etc....just when it backs up the event log reports the above errors

The problem was, the Brighstore default to use TCP to connect to the agent. If you change this to PIPES the server connects happily to the database and backs up

I have now to fix be able to restore from multiple sessions applied the following packages :-
Either the OEM version of ARCserve or SP1 is needed for ARCserve to work correctly with the REV drive.

This fixes issue of beign ABLE to restore from a multiple session backup but,it now seems unable to backup using SQL and Exchange agents
