I have a lot of linked tables in Access which all hold the same data types.
The problem I have is that in one of the fields, instead of seeing what I see in SQl Server, I see "#S_C_H#".
If I open the a form that is linked to the table, I see the actual information without any problem.
This is also causing an issue when I try to edit data directly in the table view because it tells me that someone else is modifiying it when I know this is not true.
If I view the tables in SQL Server, they all look fine and I can edit them with no problems.
Can someone explain this to me please.

And again. :(
Come on, has no one come across this before?

Apparently the column in question is LONGVARBINARY or at least Access thinks it is. Read up on how to handle this data type in Access. I suggest connecting through ADO to see if you still have the problem, since you are linking the tables it goes through an ODBC driver and the problem maybe limited to the driver.

"How MSAccess access LONGVARBINARY data?
LONGVARBINARY fields are mapped as OLE objects. If the table has index information, Access passes the literal string ‘#S_C_H#’ as the column for LONGVARBINARY field. It then tries to read the string value as BINARY data"
