We have several districts accessing a dbase IV system from other cities (fiberoptics). The system is compiled with BDC (borland database compiler). One district is continually getting Disk full errors and of course there is a zillion Gig free on the hard drive. Another district is continually getting "???.dbo file not found" errors. "DBO" files are the semi compiled modules created before the exe is created. They are imbedded in the exe and not part of the final run time environment. I've replaced the EXE file and that is not the problem. I've already investigated network rights so I'm now starting to suspect the network response time. The users are also complaining about slow reponse time with their other non client server apps. The techies here are suggesting a terminal emulation package which will run the program here and sent screen shots out to the districts.
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

David.

By the way, With this compiled system We have not experienced any of the "To fast" computer problems mentioned of late.

These errors are indicative of bad response time or losing network access altogether (at least in my experience). You will want to move to a system that won't take as much bandwidth to send data back and forth. The screen shots idea would work. Good luck with implementation,
