error with database copy wizard

Hello

I am using sql 2000

I am attempting to copy (not move) a database from one server (lon-dwnt-03) to another (lon-dwnt-01)

I specify the source and destination as appropriate and untick every option bar copy logins

I get the following error:

Step Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
Step Error Description:Unspecified error

Step Error code: 80004005
Step Error Help File:sqldts80.hlp
Step Error Help Context ID:1100

Anybody got any thoughts?

Pretty generic error message. Are you able to create a backup of the source DB and the restore it to the target machine via a tape or disk backup or are you wanting this operation to happen periodically via a DTS package?

I've actually just started copying it across the network with a view to attaching it at the other end

I 've tried the wizard a couple of times but just never got it to work

Have you checked both the SQL Server Error Logs and the Windows Event Logs for additional error messages?
