Error updating form

Hello. I have a form called "Manual Claims System - MR Canada." I access the form via a "Login Form". The "Login Form" brings me to a new record on the "Manual Claims System - MR Canada" form but does not auto generate the AutoNumber in the [txtClaimNumber1] field. When I go to the Manual Claims System - MR Canada" form directly and select a User ID from the [UserID] combo box, it generates the AutoNumber in the [txtClaimNumber1] field but when I try and go into another field, it displays with the message "The Microsoft Jet engine cannot find a record in the table Client with key matching field(s) 'ClientNumber'." Please advise. Life is too short to waste...
