Error SCH1870 Numbers in system exceeds TN defined in tape dir

When trying to add new TN into the PABX I get the error message "SCH1870
The number of digital TNs in the system exceeds the number of digital TNs defined in the tape directory." How am I going to solve this? There's plenty of unused TN's in the system

you need to buy licences from Nortel for digital sets

you can have a thousand unused TN, but if you're only licensed for 100, then that's all you can use.

All digital telephones are used. And now I have to run a report of all TN's which are not responding and remove these. Before I aqquire new licenses

Stat the cards in LD 32 & any TN's that show disabled, could be reused.

that requires a keycode upgrade..

but if you go to ld 117 and enter inv generate sets, it will take a few minutes but tell you when it finishes. you do not need to stay in the ld or logged in.. after it finishes ld 117 inv prt sets.. that will list the as built and the idu of each station plus the missing phones.. any sets that are not plugged in may be a few "lost" sets that you can out and get the software tn's back

periodically, I go to load 32 and do an LDIS on all my loops. I then print it to a file and any TN that's been disabled for more than 30 days and not reported as a trouble, I de-program.
