Error running IE (wscgetproviderpath)

I removed network settings on a pc and the readded them back to try and fix a error, now when I try and ping or access the internet I am getting the following error wscgetproviderpath failed. Any ideas???

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your hardware? This should install the TCP/IP stack again and possibly fix the issue.

Removed dial up networking and the winsock protocals from the registry and all is fine now
