I can be working away in Access and all of a sudden it will freeze up and won't let me do anything. I can click out of it and go into some other program but I still can't get Access to do anything.
If I am in another program like Excel sometimes the icon down the bottom of the screen will just start flashing
and when I go into Access it will come up with disk error.

I have had everything taken off the computer and loaded back on and it is still doing it.

I am on a network system here and I am the only one who seems to have this problem.

the only way to shut Access down is cnrt alt delete.

Any answers

I have had this problem with the disk size being gradually filled and the memory it's using borrowing disk space until it goes bang, what do you have your page size set at? How full is your hard drive, what memory do you have, and what size back end do you have on the network or do you have the front end on the network as well, another little gem I found is dependant upon versions of access - so what version are you in?

regards

jo

Thanks Joanne for your advice I don't know a lot of the information you asked for but I have deleted a lot of data going back to the years before. So I am hoping that might fix my problem.
