Error messages from Laserjet 2100 1

Hello

I installed the above printer, when trying to print a test page from Windows it prints the following error message:

PCL XL Error
Subsystem: Kernel
Error: Illegal Operator Sequnce
Operator: EndChar
Position: 7

or when I try to print a simple dokument I get the following message:

PCL XL Error
Subsystem: Kernel
Error: Illegal Tag
Operator: 0x1B
Position: 7

There is no problem to print a test page by pressing the buttons on the printer.

I downloaded and installed the driveroutine
"lj2100pcl6win2kxp2003-en.exe" from HP.

Can anyone give some ideas about the problem.

That's pretty typical of the PCL6 driver you downloaded. Try the PCL5e driver instead.
