Error messages concerning messing files

I am having some trouble running my Outlook 2000. I ran Norton Utilities disk as a fourth option trying to fix it before reinstalling it. There were two files which could not be found. I will quote one and maybe if anyone can tell me what to do, it may help me with the other missing file, too.
"C:\\WINNT\system32\MAPISRVR.EXE" cannot access a necessary file "gapi32.dll."

If anyone can help me, I'd appreciat it very much.
