Error message when printing from HP DeskJet 970cxi

Currently, I am running Windows XP and trying to print from a cd labeling program. The printer is a HP DeskJet 970cxi. The error message I receive is 'The instruction at "0x77f52cd2" referenced memory at "ox65656569". the
memory could not be "written". click on ok to terminate the program' I haven't checked on HP's web site to download and install the latest printer drivers yet. Has anyone experienced this issue in the past?
