Dear all,
Probably a very simple question for this forum but I can't think of any solution:
I get an error message when I try to put forward a select-subquery in an update statement, e.g.
UPDATE IP_Adresse SET IP_Adresse = (SELECT
MAC FROM Adapter WHERE Adapter_ID = 3)
WHERE Adapter_ID = 3;
The error message reads: "operation must use an updatable query" (translated from German, thus probably not 100% accurate). The update works whenever I do it without the select-subquery, thus there cannot be any problem with access permissions or 1:n relations.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Jens
