Hi All... Have a user on W2000, who when she opens her computer in the morning, she runs outlook and it runs the windows installer...and then displays the following error:

Error 1402. Could not open key:
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Access\Common. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

I found a related knowledge base article 236592 for the work around, and for a day or 2 it appeared to have been resolved. The issue is back however, and it only ever does it once, and that is in the morning...

I know it appears to be a permissions issue, the user has full control. Any Ideas?

 
Can you login with your Domain or AD Admin rights and open Outlook without errors. I have seen users who are given local admin control after their profile was created not have full control. Sometimes a policy sets their rights and cannot be changed locally. If you can do it with your rights, try to delete her profile from the user profile tab in the system properties. Have her log back in to recreate it after assuring that she has admin rights in user mgr. PS. copy her profile's folder first.
 
yes, I have no issues as admin,and when I applied the MS fix that was done as admin and ran without any reoccurence for a couple of days, then it just came back. I will check and doublecheck the settings again, and then try your suggestion
