Error Message: An error has occurred in Internet Explorer

When I try going to particular sites I get the following Error Message:

“An error has occurred in Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer will now close.

If you continue to experience problems, please restart you computer.”

Even when I restart and try going to the same site, the same message is displayed. Can anyone give me some advise?

There are lots of reason for the error message, (useless for diagnostic purposes).

Start with running the Ramesh MS-MVP freeware IEFix utility, and be certain to checkmark if using XP the SFC option:
Quite frankly the cause is often malware of some sort. For manual detection and removal suggestions see faq608-4650

In the last month I have been suggesting that one tries the trialware of Giant Antispyware. Update the definition files and see if it can detect and remove a malware problem:
