Can any one help me,

I am getting the following error:
'e12002 <3NUB> Arcserve - License Failure. Terminating... Please run the appropiate license program to properly licence your product'. This has stopped the job engine

I have recently updated a few servers at work with a new 5year License, the licenses are all the same, but it won't work on 1 server all the rest are ok. I have checked all the Licenses and I have appended them correctly and the 3NUB line is in there. Anyone any ideas

Are you sure you copied it to the correct CA_LIC directory?

Beginning with ARCserve v9 licencing is installed to %SystemDrive%\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC if no existing licence software is found. If you have an earlier version it will be in %System Drive%\CA_LIC still.

If you have both locations you can try copying the feature line to the olf file in each location.

If this doesn't help contact the CA Licencing department for assistance.

Thanks for the info I have double checked and it is in the right location, I am running Arcserve 2000 and it is in %Systemroot%\ca_lic, I donot have the other location.

Cheers

Hi,

Stop all ARCserve services..
rename the CA_LIC folder
From the ARCserve2000 install CD run Silent.bat
this would create a new CA_LIC.
Licence the product again on the problem server.

Hope this helps..

So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!

If you are installing licencing as has been suggested above, be sure to visit the CA website and download the latest version which patches a security vulnerability in the licencing code.

Thanks guys, done what you suggested and it worked a treat.

I owe you both a beer
