Grand Tek-tip Wizards,

I'm looking for some insight into what this error output means. I'm trying to compile openssl-0.9c on Solaris 2.6 and for some reason, the compilation fails each and every time. Any ideas or description of what the problem may be based on the error ouput?

ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to openssl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `openssl'
Current working directory /*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `sub_all'

it's a little mager to build an opinion, post more -----------
when they don't ask you anymore, where they are come from, and they don't tell you anymore, where they go ... you'r getting older !

Jasimar,

Thanks for the response. . .I'm a little puzzled as to what you're saying?? Sorry, I dont' understand your note.

My take on it is that it could be a linker problem. But I'm not sure how to go about fixing that - or diagnosing the actual error output.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
