On ME, when trying to boot up, I automatically get the screen prompting me to boot in safe mode. It boots up fine in safe mode, but when I choose normal mode, I get a blue screen with this error message:

Windows

An Error has occurred. To continue:

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart your computer. If you do this, you will lose any unsaved information in all open applications.

Error: 0E : 032F : 0000776B

No matter what I do, I can't get it to boot in Normal mode.

While in the Safe Mode, run a Full Disk Virus Scan. Then go to Programs, Systems Tools and run the Disk Cleanup, Scan Disk and Disk Defragmenter. Restart the comptr.

If that doesn't do it, rerun the Windows ME CD.

You can also try using the system restore feature, under start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. I'd try that before you reload the os.
