If I login straight from Windows, I tend to get in fine. But if I log on to the network straight from the network screen, just after the script has finished, an error comes up saying that it needs to close. It then stops to go into windows. It seems there is a problem with opening windows, but I dont know what to do. I have had to re install twice already. What can I do to A) Determine the source of the problem and B)Eradicate the problem. After re installing, it worked for a week or so before it started again.

What was the error?

It just says that it needs to close and they are 'Sorry for any inconvenience'.

Sounds like a Windows Explorer problem to me. What version of Windows (including Service Pack) are you running? Also, what version of the NetWare Client are you running? Anything special about your NetWare login script?

Are you using the latest Client 4.83 SP2. If not uninstall and install from scratch. There are several fixes that might apply.

The only other time that I have seen a problem like this was when there was a syntax error in the script. Some PCs would perform as you describe while some would not. We solved the problem by upgrading all of the PC's to the latest client.

Do you have a copy of the text on the screen that expects you to respond?
