I have an Access 2000 database with multiple identical front-ends (user_name_timesheet.mdb) all linked to a common backend (master.mdb).
It's basically a database that tracks employee time on various projects and it prints weekly reports (i.e. timesheets) for each employee.
All of the sudden, the front-end that I use started giving me the following error whenever I try to enter a new record: "Error Accessing File: Network Connection May Have Been Lost."
I don't know why this is happening, but it seems to have started when I began experimenting with using the Microsoft Date/Time Picker (SP4) control on one of my forms. I have deleted it from the form. I've even deleted the entire form and imported an identical form from another front-end, but I still get the same problem.
Record-locking scheme seems to be in order. The master.mdb file that the front end links to is actually on my hard drive, so there's not really any network connection to be lost. None of the other users are having this problem with their front-ends.
I don't get it. Any ideas?
