Hi!

Please help!!!!

This is my scenario:

Exchange 5.5 installed over NT4 coexistence with Ex 2003.
We are in progress to migrate mailboxes to new 2003 server.

I have installed Ex server and ADC connector; data has been replicated and I've stopped ADC service.

Then I used Exchange move mailboxes wizard to move mailboxes from old 55 server to new 2003 server.

You can find below error details.

My aim is to move mailboxes and get rid (i.e. turn-off old Ex server)

I browsed internet and found a couple of MS-Queries:

1. Following this error I deleted a previous System Object mailbox.

(further info microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;274534)

2. Also, I run-ed again domain prep (further info

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Although I followed Q329685 istruction (thus I created a new mail store, to re-create System mailbox) I can't still move e-mails. I disabled ADC connector and restarted Exchange 2003 server after AD replications (no Event Viewer error logged)

I am wodering this: within Exchange 2003 Manager I can see both servers. Old and new one. Although I checked permissions (within old one) icon of "old" Exchange 55 server is transparent, while icon of Exchange2003 is blue.

Does Server transparent icon mean I don't have enough permission of something like that?

I am freking out :-(

Any help is more then welcome!

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I am still work to move mailbox.

I gave up about use of "Mail move wizard"; it does not work.

I am trying to use exmerge instead.
Of course it does not work as well. Reason should be the same one of ADC failure.

There is an authentication problem within new server; although I am using Exchange administrator account.

Please HELP!

Cheers and thanks in advance,
Robert

Dear All,

In case someone else has same trouble.

I finally solved the problem.

I seize-ed FSMO role and system started to work properly.
