Hi,
I have the Quark 5.0. I saved a quark file and the day after I couldnt open it, it said "uncorrect file format (70)". I tried to change the name, nothing, however I can open the other quark files in the same folder...
Thanks for the help

What setup are you using (Mac? OS? QX? Font management?)

Had a similar problem opening QX4 docs in QX6 (MacOSX 10.3). Couldn't resolve the issue, but turning off my font management software (Extensis Suitcase X1) allowed me to open the doc, then turn on Suitcase, then resave the doc (best not to overwrite though).

(hope this helps)

thanx, but I'm using PC without font management....I was told when using PC, Quark produces corrupted files once in a while, any idea how to restore the file...?

really long shot - can you duplicate the file and open that?

Failing that you might want to try some Norton or Alladin product. Norton Filesaver or Volume recover tend to work if you already have them installed otherwise I think Diskwarrior by Alladin might be able to help.

Sorry if this isn't really any help, I'm not too PC .

Thanx, I will try them during easter...enjoy the holidays
