I have been trying to import two dbf tables into my mdb
for 3 days now. If I attempt to import it as a dBase IV
file as I have done in the past I get the Error 3274:
External Table not in expected format message. If I
attempt to use my Visual FoxPro Driver (System DSN) then
it connects, but acts like the table is a database and
imports everything seperately. If I use the Fox Pro
Database Driver then it will not even register that there
are any dbf files to import. I am flabbergasted at what
happened to my drivers since the last time I did this and
have not been able to find any postings that have
suggested any remedy that works for me. Please, does
anyone have a suggestion for me?

What you may be running into is an issue with the datatypes as defined in dBaseIV verus MS Access.

Try opening the dbf file in Excel, then saving it as a dbf file once more then try the import.

If it works then it may be an issue with leading zeros or a phone number format.

If that is the case then you may need to set up an import specification or use the TransferText method to validate the data that you are attempting to write into the Access tables.

I originally thought that this was the same problem I was running into but I was wrong. I kept getting Error 3166. Once I read this message I came up with an idea.

Opened the file in Excel and saved it as an Excel workbook. Then I imported the Excel workbook into Access. It's an extra step but it does work.
