I have Quark on a PC, I created and saved a document, I have opened it before, but now when I try I get insufficient memory error -108
Since it is on a PC I dont see how I can allocate more memory to Quark the way you can on a Mac

Which version of Quark?

Think there used to be a issue with 4.04 along these lines, you had to update to 4.1 then to 4.11, then in a fixit xtension. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

This can also occur if the document is damaged. Have the user attempt to open the document with a new XPress Preferences file. If this does not work, the only other remedy is a to revert to a backup.

This happens if your document is corrupted. You could try what ross has written that you could try with a new XPress Preference file or revert to a backup.
Another workaround is that you could get an XTension called Markztools III by which you can retrieve your damaged or corrupted documents.
