This is so basic I feel stupid asking, but I can't find an entity relationship diagram for the ERP. I was hoping I wasn't the only one who wanted this, anyone willing to share?
I have tested a program called "modellator" to konvert databases into an ERD. But this have just been small databases and the moddelator managed to do the job in an elegant matter.
Try this address to find out more about this program:
I understand ERD but I don't want to have to re-invent the wheel on something as large as Oracle Financials. I have used Business Objects and it has a great "universe" model. It requires a bit of time to set up.
I am looking at Crystal Reports to enable users to query the ERP themselves, but without a "dictionary" the data is not 'real world' enough for most users.
I want and ERD to help me understand the relationships and data and to allow users to be more self-sufficient.
The person who said they had an ERD on their web page forgot to provide the link....
If I understand you question correctly, the diagrams are in the Technical Reference Manuals, and you have to pay for them. Each manual has maybe 10-15 pages of database diagrams and covers only one module. There is some overlap, I think where the modules interrelate, but to get a whole picture you might have to buy a lot of books!
