When I edit an equation or insert an equation into a Word document (Word 2000) using Microsoft Equation 3.0 I am no longer able to see the equation after closing the Equation toolbar. All that is visible is a box that shows the boundaries of the equation object. But the equation does show in the print preview.

Any suggestions as to what I can change to make it viible?

Do you see the placeholder or nothing at all?

If you see a placeholder, then the display picture placeholder option is checked in your Options.
