If I "list fiber-link" I get "MISMATCH" next to one of the links, the primary facilities are all "B" apart from 1.

Does the mismatch come from the different primary facilites, if so can I set them all to "A" by busying the links?

I guess I don't understand what you are asking. When you use a DS1C (TN1654) the first portion on this fiber should default to the "A" link. Both ends need to communicate over this path. Your options are to add upto 4 T1's per DS1C. We have had problems with cables from Avaya (octopus cable) where the labels we incorrect. I don't ever remember seeing a mismatch.

A or B can be primary. the system will automatically shift between them when the current primary experiances errors. Mismatch means that you have cables/circuits reversed. You have a DS1 connected to Facility A on one end but Facility B on the other end.

I have all 4 spans connected, I'll check the cabling to see if I have them crossed

thanks for your thoughts
