Our EPN will power off when there are 3 or more digital line cards (72 agents +) and the fibre link to the PPN fails. Strange but true. We can re-create the problem every time. We rebuilt the system. Same problem. It seems to be load related. Avaya has not seen anything like this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you always using the same slots for your circuit packs? Could be a bad back-plane.

Thanks

Chris

I believe this is a known issue and Avaya is aware of it. The packs will cause a 1217A power supply to recycle. That is the "fat" power supply located on the right hand side of an XE type carrier. I have not heard of the problem with the MCC setup. If you have the 1217A power supply, call Avaya and have it escalated to T-3
