Envelope Icon in Outlook 2000

Does anyone know how to turn on the envelope icon that appears in the system tray when you have new mail? I am running Office 2000. Thanks for any help.

Tools, Options, General Tab, Email Options button, Advanced Options, check box in middle of screen "Show an envelope

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately that option is not present in Outlook 2000. I have that option in XP and 2003, but not in 2000.

Sorry, I was looking at a computer with 2002, which looks much like 2000. Unfortunately, the only way to get rid of this is with various hacks in Outlook 2000, apparently. I did find this, but not sure if it's a viable option for you:

Thanks for the replies. The envelope has suddenly started appearing again. I guess some things can resolve themselves.
