I have 2 2003 servers with SP1. I installed SQL 2000 on one server and Installed SP4 for SQL. Now if I try to install any software I get "Entry point Not Found in *****.dll" the DLL listed being different depending on what software I try to install.

Thinking I had a bad server I moved SQL to another server and now that server has the same issue.

I ran SFC /scannow on both and rebooted, no change.

Any Ideas? The servers seem to run fine, but I cannot add software if I need to, and I hate having a unresolved problem on my servers.

Sounds as if the regsvr32 for all the .dll's didn't work...Have you tried registering them manually at the command line?

regsvr32 *****.dll

Are there errors that are reported when you try to manually register the .dll?

The problem is the DLL's are system DLL's like kernel32.dll and the like. I would hope they don't need to be registered.

Either attempt to register the .dll's, or system rebuild. Attempting to register the .dll's might give you an idea of what is wrong....
