As we are all 'supposed' to document our systems, could you guys tell me what software you find best for drawing ERD's?

We have some new developers starting next week so I thought I would be kind and give them some documentation as it's all in my head at the mo!

The database has 90 tables and I just want to show table names, key fields and the links.

TIA

I use a VFP app that I've been using for a while now called "Database Organizer" and it gives me a report of all the tables in the database, all the field definitions, all the relations, and all the indexes. Reports to screen or to printer. Suits my needs. If you want it (it zipped at 35k), let me know (and give me your e-mail address or send me a note through one of my FAQ's if you don't want to post your e-mail address). Mike Gagnon

You could download the freeware documentation tool PDM from It creates documentation of VFP projects table structures, forms, VCX, etc.. It csn be downloaded from the Visual Foxpro Zone download section.
