entering a vba project using an old excel version

I wrote a program in vba for excel 2000.
As a matter of fact it works perfectly in excel 2000 .
I installed it on my end user's pc in which there is excel '97.
Unfortunately, there are some errors but I cannot find them out because my project seems to be not visible from excel '97.
Is that because I protected it with a password or even if I remove the password it will remain not visible?
Any help will be much appreciated.

You'll need to unlock it in a later version I'm afraid.
