Enter Network Identification Annoyance

For some reason, a prompt window continuously opens and prompts me to enter in my username and password. I've already checked the box to remember my password but can't seem to get rid of this prompt. Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm using Outlook 2002.

is it asking before you recieve emails? does it download the email after you put it in but next time you open outlook it asks again? "Jack of all trades. Master of none."

the operating system is actually windows 2000 using Office xp. with the information of the thread I can't seem to find permissions. any ideas?
