Hi,
I have read that Backup Exec (BE) can store the network connection logon details in an encrypted database. What I would like to know is the application password stored encrypted as well. We want to be able to secure BE so that if the server and the tape drive we use and tapes are stolen that they can't read the tapes without entering a password which they can't get at easily.
Thank you in ad vance for your help

you only need to put a password on the tape - then if you don't know it, you are stuffed, unless you want to pay a fortune to get the data off the tape via a professional data recovery company.
