hi,
any recommendation of a software tool to encrypt a folder on windows 2000 system?

Is there anything wrong with using Windows 2000 EFS? It's simple enough and FREE

the problem with EFS on windows 2000 is that it does not show the encrypted folder in different colour

True, but if a 3rd party tool would change the color of the folder, it is probably by a registry change.

do you know what is the registry key to do colour change?
