Hello:

Does someone have a solution for the following scenario?

I want to encrypt some Tiff files. I have a viewer created in vb6 that has the right "key" that allows the user to view the files. If someone else tries to view the files, they shouldn't be able to. What control or technique can I use to accomplich this?

Thank you.

You can either look through one of the many available encryption methods ( or search these forums for crypt (there were some threads around it), or if this is acceptable to you you can always process the everytime you open it, adding/subtracting a certain number to the ascii value of each byte.
This will only work as a workaround, but it will prevent a standard viewing of the files.
