Enabling Outlook to read local files

I primarily use Lotus notes as my email client, but being from an Outlook background I have configured this to read my Lotus email.

However, it always looks at the copy of my mailfile on the server and is quite slow.

Is there any way I can configure it to look at a local copy of my mailfile?
