I have two Cisco 1721's running IOS 12.2(4). One router is at the branch connected to two dumb terminals and the other router is at the main connected to a Unix Host. They are connected by a full T-1. My question is how do I config these routers to pass the LAT protocol through. I have looked on Cisco's web site but nothing listed there that really helps. LAT is not even listed as a command if you do a "?" at a prompt!! Any ideas????

Do you really mean LAT on UNIX!! I thought it was only used on Dec VAX/VMS.

Anyway, Dec LAT is a non-routeable protocol. (As there is no network part to the address) The only way is to use bridging, which I don't think is available in standard Cisco IOS. (PS LAT is also only available in certain IOS, which may be why you don't have the command)

"lat node-name CISCO25109" makes the router a LAT service, but won't route LAT.

Cheers

Mark
