We have been having an issue where we get 'Waiting For Line' messages on the phone and we believe its because we are not connected to our SIP Provider.

Working with the SIP Provider to look at the SIP registrations, they say we registering every 5 Minutes, though wanted to know why we were not sending SIP Pings and asked us to enable SIP Pings.

I'm not sure if that's something the IPO can do? we are running IPO500v2 9.1.1.0 build 10

Thank you,
Scott<-

Have you enabled "Check OOS" on the SIP trunk assuming they are talking about SIP OPTIONS?

Indeed, no such thing as SIP pings, have them talk normally to you instead of using nicknames for things. Tell them your Sippetydoodah is no workie and you want it working big style

But they mean SIP Options messages as mentioned above, people say SIP Pings but they're not really :)

You guys are great, Thank you.

The Check OOS is not Checked and has not been for some time now. This is the first we have had issues of this sort.

Is Enabling the OOS going to cause any other potential issues?

Thank you,

Read the help when SIP trunk is selected (F1).

It will put the trunk out of service if it doesn't receive a reply on the SIP OPTIONS.
