Hi all,

If I place my cursor anywhere in my db window and move the "middle" mouse wheel access scrolls through it's records.

Now I have a set of custom navigation buttons on my form that I created (with help of members of this forum) and I would like to have it so that access only scrolls the records when a user moves their mouse cursor over these controls - a kind of mouse over effect.

I dont know if this can be done but I'd be very grateful for any suggestions

Kind regards,

Kenny

Hi earthandfire,

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried to get the functions that are on the site you suggested to work in my db but no luck.

Is there another way, the major drawback of the example on that site is you have to get the user to install a DLL file first before thay can use the mouse wheel off. I dont like this as you can not be sure that the user will place the dll in the right place.

You seem to be able to control just about everything from within Access so why not the mouse wheel?

Cheers,

Kenny

Since the dll doesn't require registering, why not put in on a server that all your users can access. Then copy it into a local folder (as referenced in your mdb) in your database's startup routine (eg Splash Screen or main form's OnLoad event)

Hope this helps.
