Hi,
I have a user that is normally part of the reception backup group. On occation, she needs to be part of the reception hunt group, so she can take over for a missing receptionist. I setup a button to enable/disable the user in a hunt group. The problem is that there is no where to set which hunt group she is disabled from, so she gets disabled from all hunt groups. Is there a setting I'm missing? I set it up in Button programming\advanced\huntgroup\huntgroupenable

Maybe there is a better way to do this? Currently, I need to log into manager and add her to the reception group manually, and then remove her after she's done.

Thanks for the help

You could create a short code:

Shortcode: *99*N#
Telephone Number: N
Feature: HuntGroupEnable

N obviously representing the HG extension.

Then you could put *99* on a button, and they could just type the extension of the HG.

Or as a user shortcode
#1
groupnumber
huntgroupenable

and

#0
groupnumber
huntgroupdisable

Unfortunately, Those ideas get the same results. It appears that the function is global and enables or disables someone from every hunt group. I have not found a way to designate the hunt group.

The hunt continues (pun intended)

That was an issue with v2.1 if I remeber correctly;

I've got 3.0.59 here and it works fine. I did program a button with the "HuntGroupEnable" feature, and added the group number in the Telephone Number field...that make me busy/available in that group only! works fine and doesnt affect other groups.

if you're still at 2.1 I'm not sure you'll be able to find a workaround to this. maybe you could forward the reception desk to this user and turn on "Forward Huntgroup Calls" on the reception phone

bye!

I feel like a dope. I didn't put the hunt group number in the telephone number line. Works perfect now. We are on v3.0 (48)

Thanks,
Tom
