Empty Word Fields

I have a few documents with field codes in them representing addresses. The problem is when you do not enter data for all of the lines of the address you end up with blank lines within the address.

Is there a way to suppress these blank either on screen or when the document prints?

Click the Merge… button (third from the right) on the mail merge toolbar
Under the section entitled When merging records
Click Don’t print blank lines when data fields are empty.
