Im currently have problems with 2 subforms in one of my db's.

basicly both of these subforms draw their information directly from a table. the relationships are both 1-many.

is there anything specific that would stop these subforms from displaying the data from the table when the main form displays the corresponding data from its table?

the main confusion I have is that i have a third subform again set up in the same way even on the same main form as one of the failing subforms yet it works and the other 2 dont, what am i missing. everything seems to be in order and i have successfully used subforms on a number of occasions, but these two have been a problem since i first created them.

Is it possible that there are instances where there is no data for a subform record? If so, you have to do a HasData propery check.

no it really should not be a possibity

say for example i use the above mentioned form to enter a record, if i then close the form re-open and navigate back to the newly created record, the newly created sub-form records are not shown, i.e it shows nothing but a blank spreadsheet.

and considering that both main form and subform are run from tables not queries, and the info has been saved to the table (and can be viewed in table view or a report), i think its safe to say there should be data, its just not appearing.

Anyway i am off for the afternoon, hope someone can help me tomorrow, this one has been beyond me for some time now.

Take a look at the DataEntry property of the subforms.

Hope This Helps, PH.
