Hi all,

I have a remote office with an NEC IP phone system that we just hooked up via H.323 with my CM (S8710). We are able to dial by extension without issue (Uruguay to US) - but here's what I'm trying to do.

We use EMMC frequently, and the remote office was hoping to be able to join conference calls via EMMC access extension. User is able to connect to the bridge via 4 digit extension, but is cut off once he keys the conference ID - which is a VDN.

I thought maybe I'd get lucky and it would be something simple like changing ip-network-region...thought maybe something as easy as a codec set had something to do with it, but no joy. Anyone have any thoughts on how I might be able to make this work? I've been using Definity and CM for going on 14 years and this is a new one for me. If I can provide any other info, please ask. Thanks!

Sounds like you're not getting Answer Supervision from the EMMC. The PBX doesn't know that the call was answered. Check the settings on your trunk groups.

Thanks for your response. Could you elaborate a bit? My EMMC trunk is SIP....I looked but didn't see answer supervision. Which trunk group should I be looking at?

Check the incoming trunk group from the NEC. ou may also want to check the systems-features paages. There are several places that deal with SIP.
