Up until today I have been lucky enough not to ever have to use embedded voicemail... I'm attempting to install it on an IPO 500 release 4.2(14) and am having issues. I have followed all of the instructions outlined in the Avaya Embedded Voicemail Installation Guide including transfering the prompt files using tftp which appears to complete successfully. I have even removed all of the files off of the CF card and gone through the tftp process a second time. Anyone have any suggestions, or experienced similar issues? I can see the LVMAIL directory on the card with all of the associated language directories using the Embedded File Management application in manager, so I know the tftp is working. Some of the monitor trace output can be found below. Thanks.

you dont say what issues you are having?

Hmmm...

"I have even removed all of the files off of the CF card and gone through the tftp process a second time."

And there is your problem. You now have a $400 64MB generic compact flash card.

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Nice that my vendor support rep instructed me to remove all of the files from the card and then redo the transfer not making mention of any 00031001.clp file.... Thankfully I'm getting an RMA replacement. Thanks for the information.

Always copy the file before you do an upgrade
If you do remove it for what reason then you have a backup
Your bp should have known this !

To be fair if Avaya named the file "Licence File Do Not Remove" instead of something difficult to remeber and totally vague I doubt we would see this problem on here nearly as much as we do now :)
