Our California location has the embedded VM. The messaging works fine, but the caller ID does not pass to the VM. I changed the prefix to "9" in the PRI screen so the redial would work, and now the VM reports the calls as coming from "9". Is there a setting somewhere that sends the caller ID to the VM?

Thanks,
-Jon

I know it doesn't solve the problem of WHY this is happening but you can take the 9 out of the prefix and follow this guide instead.

That's good information that I'll be able to use later... Thanks.
Anyone else have an idea about "the problem"?

Thanks!

Anybody know how to upgrade the Embedded Voicemail card? Can it be upgraded by remote?

I'm hoping that will fix the number problem...

You need to give more information about the software level etc etc etc

Does caller id work when rining a phone? What kind of lines do u have?/ Analog oe T1/PRI

Yes, the caller ID works when ringing, and when using Phone Manager Software. It appears like everything is normal. The lines are SIP incoming, going through and IAD box being converted to PRI for the IPO. I did an experiment and added the "9" character in the PRI menu. Now the VM reports the calls are from "9"... sigh... For some reason, the IPO isn't passing the INFO. Right now the IPO is running 4.0(10)
I want to upgrade it and see if maybe everything will fix itself... I just realized that when I was out there last, I install Program Manager 6.0(14) on the computer... I hope that doesn't cause trouble!
