Embedded File Link oultook2000

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to create a link to a file and send it outlook 2000. We are currently at sp3 for office running on windows 2000. The file would be on a network server so clients would have access to it.

Are you wanting the users to be able to run Outlook without having it on their PC?

Actually i think i worded it incorrectly. I just want to embed a link to any file and send it in email. I was looking at inserting hyperlinks, but i had stupid moment. When inserting a file there is a drop down menu to choose the option.

I appreciate your response.
