I have a site that allows users to create their own slide shows and I want them to be able to embed music that starts automatically (and, hence, needs no controls). I want them to be able to upload a file (that I will store the link to in a db) so that when their slide show starts the music starts automatically. Here are my questions:

1) Is there a preferred file type (*.wav for instance)?
2) What is the best way (html) to embed that music.

Thanks~

Just trying to make sense of it all ...

Certainly not .wav because those are huge. I would say, preferable is .mid, although the technology changed since then...

Someone will answer question 2) too. I do not. I hate documents with music.

Hi

Note that if you want continuous music during multiple pages, you will have to use some kind of frames, which to not refresh together with the content.
