Our webserver recently suffered a problem where emails seem to have been sent directly to the \mailroot\badmail directory. I now have over 1600 files (3 for each email - .BAD, .BDR, .BDP) in this directory.

We reinstalled the SMTP service and rebooted the server and new emails are now getting sent correctly. However, I still have these files in the badmail directory that we need to process.

Does anyone know an easy way to get these emails sent?

I think it is as simple as copying the emails from the badmail directory to the SMTP directory I think it's called Pickup, SMTP simply looks to send anything in the appropriate folder - at least ours does.

If you can run an advanced search and replace program that deletes that specific undeliverable message from all the messages in that directory, do you think it'll work?
