We have a SBS 2003 server, Starting on monday after a reboot, emails (exteranl and internal) started hanging in the Messages Pending Submission folder for 7 minutes, It seems to be getting worse, now they are holding for more than 20 minutes. Reboots don't seem to help anything. We are running Sanmail 6.2, I have tried disaling that and rebooting but that doesn't help.

It can be related to many things: espacially if some of the machines picked up some viruses on you LAN thay can broadcast huge traffic which kills you mail-server. Make sure to analyze your network first (traffic and etc....)We had similar issues: check the server itself too.

If this clear: check you DNS settings and replication.

Regards,

I called Microsoft and after checking all settings, we uninstalled Scan Mail and the probkem was fixed. REinstalled and seems to work fine now.
