I have been asked if it is possible to get the total number of internal emails generated and sent by our users. I don't think mail logging would give me this. We are Exchange 2003, SP1 using Outlook 2003.

Thanks

Mike

MailMarshall and Quest's Spotlight are 2 third party products that will help you.

Exchange can be used but is far more fiddly and requires exporting to Excel to do your own reporting.

Try here:-

Glen has some pretty good scripts.
This one basically dumps certain info from the tracking logs into an MDB and then allows you to display it on an HTML page. Was a little fiddly to get working as I recall but it isn't bad as long as your message volumes aren't massive.

As Pat says Promodag is also pretty good albeit costs $ and they have a free trial. It is also useful in that they charge per server rather than per mailbox like Quest MessageStats et al do.
